Load index is a numerical code that corresponds to the maximum weight a tire can safely carry when properly inflated.

Indicates the maximum speed at which a tire is certified to safely carry its load. It's represented by a letter (A-Z) on the tire sidewall, with higher letters generally corresponding to faster speeds.

Load range on tires refers to the maximum weight a tire can safely carry at a specified inflation pressure. Sometimes it is interchangeably used with ply rating.
