The Gold Standard for Family
50 Years of Tire Discounters
In 1976, founder Chip Wood had two things. A mission… and a mustache. One helped him start a business. The other helped him start a family.
Chip believed people deserved to be treated fairly and honestly. So, he opened a tire shop built on transparency, hard work, and doing the right thing, even when it wasn’t easy. Fifty years later, the mustache may be gone, but the mission is still driving everything we do.

Treating You Like Family
Since 1976
From day one, Tire Discounters set out to be the shop you trust. The one your parents told you about. The one you bring your own kids to. For fifty years, we’ve taken care of families, from first cars to carpool lanes, memorable road trips, and the moments that matter most.
What started with one bay has grown into the largest independent, family‑owned and operated tire retailer in the United States. Built one honest experience at a time.

Real People. Real Stories.
Real Character.
From funny signs that make people honk to the Phantom Tire Buyer's obsession with Free Alignment, we love bringing smiles to our customers' faces. These moments are never marketing stunts - they're expressions of who we really are:
A family business grounded in expertise, humility, and humor.

This Anniversary
Belongs to you
We've been around for 50 years because of the people who trust us with their cars, their families, and their time. Customers who come back. Team members who care. Communities that believe in us.
We are grateful for every customer that hands over keys, every road trip that starts in our parking lots, and every generation that trusts us to keep them safe.
Thank you for being part of our story.

Built For
What Comes Next
The cars on the road will continue to change, and technology will keep moving forward.
Through it all, Tire Discounters will be here to lend a helping hand, guided by the same values that started it all. As we look ahead, we remain committed to the golden rule that has guided Tire Discounters from the very beginning:
Treat people, their cars, and their money the way we'd want our own families treated.
