Load index is a numerical code that corresponds to the maximum weight a tire can safely carry when properly inflated.

Indicates the maximum speed at which a tire is certified to safely carry its load. It's represented by a letter (A-Z) on the tire sidewall, with higher letters generally corresponding to faster speeds.

Load range on tires refers to the maximum weight a tire can safely carry at a specified inflation pressure. Sometimes it is interchangeably used with ply rating.

The flexible side section of a tire that connects the tread to the wheel rim. Displays crucial information about the tire specifications.

The vertical distance between the top of the tire's tread and the bottom of the deepest grooves. It's a crucial indicator of a tire's condition and its ability to perform as designed.

Indicates its estimated longevity, or how long its tread is expected to last relative to a control tire. It's a number, ranging from 100 to 1000. A higher treadwear rating generally means the tire will wear down more slowly and provide longer service life.

The tire's ability to stop on wet surfaces, specifically in a straight-line, locked-wheel braking scenario. The UTQG system uses a letter grade system (AA, A, B, C) to indicate relative wet-surface traction, with AA being the highest and C the lowest.

Indicates a tire's resistance to heat buildup under controlled laboratory conditions. It's a letter grade, ranging from A to C, with A being the highest and C being the lowest.

The height of the tire's sidewall relative to its width, expressed as a percentage.

Max inflation is the maximum amount of air the tire can safely hold.

The diameter of the wheel in inches, specifying the size of the wheel the tire is designed to fit. It's essentially the inner diameter of the wheel where the tire will be mounted.

The distance measured across the face of the wheel, from bead seat to bead seat.

The measurement of the wheel's barrel from the inside edge of one bead seat to the inside edge of the other bead seat. This is the area where the tire fits and is sealed onto the wheel.
